Hey everyone!!
I finally have a real blog post for you guys today, and it’s one that I am fairly excited for. There are some great YA releases coming this fall and I can’t wait to share them with you!
Wild Beauty by Anna-Marie McLemore
Oct. 3
Wild Beauty has already hit the shelves, but I’m only nine days late so I’m going to keep it in here. I saw this book early this year and was super excited for it, although I don’t have it yet. As for what I have understood, it is about women of a garden called La Pradera who have tended it for centuries. The men, however, disappear when the women fall deeply in love. So, when a young man walks into who has no recollection of himself or anyone, things get a little crazy.
It sounds like a fantastical read and hopefully a light read that would be good for reading when you’re piled in schoolwork all day. Let me know if you have read it yet, I would love to know what you thought of it!
Forest of A Thousand Lanterns by Julie C. Dao
Oct. 10
This one came out two days ago, so this is fair game. I’ve been really into ethnic books lately, like Middle Eastern and Asian, and this one is spot on for that category. I’m not entirely sure as to the plot of this story, but I do know that there is a young East Asian woman who, if she decided to embrace the dark magic in her fueled by eating the hearts of the people she kills, could be an empress.
Badass, or what? I really want to give this book a go, but tell me down below if you have read it yet or read the ARC and give me your feedback!
The Glass Spare by Lauren DeStefano
Oct. 24
If you’re anything like me, this book is going to be exactly what you never knew you needed.
Wil is the daughter of the king of the wealthiest nation in the world, yet her whole life she has been hidden away to be a spy for her father. As her father is starting wars over the expansion of his kingdom, Wil is attacked. It is then that she finds out her power to turn people into gemstone simply by touching them.
I need it. I really do. It honestly sounds very vaguely like an idea for a book that I had years ago, although there was no gemstone thing. I’m so glad to see something that resembles it be born.
Renegades by Marissa Meyer
Nov. 7
I have been excited for this book since last year, and the birthdate is finally approaching. My excitement is uncontainable at this point. I have never read a book that involved super heroes of any kind, or anything at all like this book, but I know it’s going to be great because it is written by Marissa Meyer, the author of Cinder.
This book takes on the point of view of a girl, Nova, who holds allegiance with a villain, and who is seeking vengeance on the Renegades, a group of heroes with abilities beyond any human. When Nova meets a Renegade boy, Adrian, who sees hope in Nova, she begins to question where she stands.
Have any of you read an ARC of this book? If so, please tell me how great it is!
Let me know if there are any October or November releases I missed that you’re anticipating, or if you’re excited about any of the ones I mentioned.
Thanks for reading!
