Hey everyone!
I made a post like this a while ago, that you can read here, in which I gradually realized what trash I am for not reading great books. About a year later and I still haven’t read the vast majority of the books on that post, so go me! But I am not going to copy the books that I haven’t read from the last post, these are going to be fresh because there is a LOT that I have yet to read.
So, let’s get started…
A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas
This is the book I need – I don’ think I can go much longer without it. This series blows me away with every book I read from it and I know this one will not be any different. I have avoided any spoilers, and I am amazed because I am always on my bookish Twitter. Also, I really just want to read more about Rhysand *heart eyes.*
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han
Two years ago this book was a part of my high school’s book club, and I completely rejected it because I was in a whole “contemporary is trash, give me the fantasy” phase, even though freshman year I was the trash for contemporary. Everything about this book sounds adorable and fun and I really want to give the series a try because I hear it’s just so comforting and warming.
Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo
I haven’t been too invested in the Grisha series like I know many people are; nonetheless, I need this book. I am so curious how this book is going to play out because the last one had me shook and I was so thrown around because I hadn’t expected anything that was happening. I hope this installment is the same because that was a literal rollercoaster.
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
I really don’t know like anything about this book even though it shows up in almost every Booktube video. I first heard about it about two years ago through Sasha Alsberg and I have been interested since, but I still have no idea what it’s about – I should just read the synopsis. But Booktube raves about this book so I feel like I just need to try it.
Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes
I almost picked up this book in BAM!, I even had it in my hand, but at the last minute, for some unknown reason, I put it down and picked up the Novice. I’m not complaining, the Novice was phenomenal with the whole magic-y school vibe, but I really want to read this. More and more people are talking about it and it’s taunting me.
The House of Hades by Rick Riordan
I own this book. I have no excuse. There’s just no time in college, it’s a true struggle.
The Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson
Again with this book, Booktubers rage for this book yet I don’t really know what it’s about. I have heard the synopsis like thirty times in the videos, but it has never stuck although I really want to read it.
Let me know the popular books you haven’t read so I can despise myself a little less right now.
Thank you for reading!
Taylor
