Hello everyone! I hope you all had a happy new year!
2018 may be the year of amazing book releases. I can’t even describe how happy it makes me to look at this list and know what a great reading year everyone is going to have. (Also, pretty much all of these have the most beautiful covers I’ve ever seen.)
Let’s see what’s in store for 2018 ❤ :
Zenith by Sasha Alsberg and Lindsay Cummings Jan 16
I love Sasha Alsberg (aka ABookUtopia) – she is my all-time favorite booktuber. I cannot wait to read the project her and Lindsay Cummings have been working on. Plus there’s space pirates and that sounds so unique and fun!
Reign of the Fallen by Sarah Glenn Marsh Jan 23
Recently, I worked with Sarah Glenn Marsh to bring you guys a spotlight post on Reign of the Fallen that you can check out here. She was so sweet when doing the interview process and I loved talking with her! Also, I haven’t heard of many YA fantasy books with LGBT representation, so I am excited to read that!
Markswoman by Rati Mehrotra Jan 23
I haven’t heard many people talking about this upcoming release, but I am very excited for it! I read the synopsis on Goodreads (that I have forgotten, so I don’t know what it’s really about), and it sounded like such a great book.
The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert Jan 30
So many people have received this ARC, and I have heard so many amazing things about it! Again, I don’t know much about this book, but it has to be great because I have not heard a single bad thing about it.
To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo March 6
This book sounds AWESOME! The main character is a siren and there’s a Sea Queen and this cover is gorgeous. It kind of sounds like a Little Mermaid retelling with the siren being turned into a human by the Sea Queen.
Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi March 6
Everyone in the bookish community is raving about this book! I believe it’s about tribes and has a lot of folk lore and magic in it, and that sounds so interesting and unlike a lot of books I have read.
Isle of Blood and Stone by Makiia Lucier April 10
I don’t read many books from the point of view of a guy, so I’m interested in this one. The only others I have read are like the Maze Runner and Percy Jackson. I also haven’t heard anything about this book, but it has a 4.5 rating on Goodreads.
Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian April 24
I just finished reading this ARC for review and the review just went up on Tuesday so you can check that out here. It was a great read, and I gave it 4/5 stars.
A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas May 1
I believe this is a novella for the ACOTAR series, but I don’t know much about it otherwise. BUT it’s part of ACOTAR and by Sarah J. Maas, so it has to be good.
A Reaper at the Gates by Sabba Tahir May 22
I just finished and reviewed A Torch Against the Night and you can check that out here. I love this series so much, and I cannot wait to see how it continues.
Furyborn by Claire Legrand May 22
Prophecies, magic, evil empires, and war. This sounds a lot like Ash Princess, and I cannot wait to dive in. I know some ARCs went out recently, so I can’t wait to hear what everyone has to say.
These Rebel Waves by Sara Raasch August 7
This book comes from the author of Snow Like Ashes, which I still haven’t read, so I know it has to be great because everyone loves that series. Also, the cover is beautiful ❤
Dance of Thieves by Mary E. Pearson August 7
This author also wrote The Remnant Chronicles that I, again, have not read, but I know is beloved by a lot of readers. This book also takes place in the same universe as the Remnant Chronicles, so I know a lot of fans of the original series are crazy about this book.
Throne of Glass 7 (Untitled) by Sarah J. Maas Sept 4
I have some catching up to do before I can get to this book – I am currently reading Empire of Storms, and then still need to read Tower of Dawn – but I am nonetheless greatly anticipating this book. I hope Chaol gets some more love because I love him, and he needs to be appreciated more, in my opinion.
Thanks for reading!
