Hello everyone!
My TBR is a list that could take over like 10 years to complete, and that’s even without adding new books lol. This year I want to tackle some of the books that have been on my TBR for longer than they should have been. Let me know down below the books you want to finish by the end of 2018!
Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
I am “reading” this book right now, but I haven’t picked it up in like a week and a half. It’s just not hooking me like I wanted it to, and really thought it would.
Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes
I got Night Circus, Falling Kingdoms, and the next four books for Christmas, so I have no reason whatsoever to not read them. There were so many times where I almost got this book before, but didn’t because I chose a different book. Now that I have it, I just need to do it.
Flame in the Mist by Renee Ahdieh
I devoured The Wrath and the Dawn, so I cannot wait to see how Renee Ahdieh will blow my mind in this book.
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
Maybe I’m the last person in the universe this book… I’m not one for contemporary, so I never thought about buying it. I’m so glad I asked for it for Christmas!
An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson
Fae books are my favorite books. I know this story is a little different from Sarah J. Maas’s fae, so I’m eager to see Rogerson’s take on the culture.
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
This movie was amazing! It came out several years ago now, I think, but it was just so impactful and totally awesome. I really wonder if the book or the movie is better.
A Court of Wings and Ruin & Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas
For these two, I am waiting for them to come out in paperback to math the rest of the series I own, so I can’t be that disappointed in myself because they still haven’t come out. Nonetheless, I am still dying for more Rhysand and Chaol.
The House of Hades by Rick Riordan
A book I have owned for so long… I just need to make myself do it.
Cress by Marissa Meyer
Omg you guys, I have had this book for at least two years, maybe three now. I loved Scarlet, so I don’t know why it is taking me this long. Make me read it – I want to be in the loop in the Lunar Chronicle discussions.
Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo
Siege and Storm was such a relief for me in this series because it was hard for me to really get into Shadow and Bone. Now that I am actually super interested in this series, I really want to keep the momentum going.
King’s Cage by Victoria Aveyard
I read this book last year – well at least the first 100 or so pages, then for some reason I put it down and never had the ambition to pick it back up because it was just so slow. When talking to people about this book, that kind of seems to be the trend, so I don’t feel too bad. I just really adored the first book, so I guess I feel guilty for not getting into this one.
I actually own all but three of these books, so it is a little shameful that I haven’t read them – I just get way too excited in book stores and overwhelm myself with the amount of books I get.
I hope I can at least get to these books this year, and if I don’t, please hold this post against me in December!
Thanks for reading!
Taylor
